Derivation of the Batchelor-Green formula for random suspensions

This paper is dedicated to the effective viscosity of suspensions without inertia, at low solid volume fraction ϕ. The goal derive rigorously a o(ϕ2) formula for viscosity. In [17], [19], such was given rigid spheres satisfying strong separation assumption dmin≥cϕ−13r, where dmin minimal distance between and r their radius. It then applied both periodic random configurations with separation, yield explicit values O(ϕ2) coefficient. We consider here complementary (and certainly more realistic) configurations, softer assumptions long range decorrelation. justify in this setting famous Batchelor-Green [3]. Our result applies instance hardcore Poisson point process almost dmin>(2+ε)r, ε>0.
